Ark Lab
Visual Identity & Interactive Exhibition Design
Project Overview
Ark Lab is an archive and exhibition concept designed to preserve and showcase the creative legacy of IADE’s community. Merging a digital repository with physical space, it connects institutional history with future innovation through branding and dynamic industrial design.
01. The Visual Identity
Embodying accessibility, modernism, and academic excellence. The core identity pairs a solid square with dynamic radiating rays that symbolize knowledge, exploration, and growth spreading outward.
02. Color & Sub-Categories
A palette anchored in blue (#366CE0) to convey credibility, intelligence, and trust. Dedicated sub-brand icons organize the archive into Academic Projects, Labs/Fabrica, and Historical Archives.
03. Spatial & Furniture Concept
Translating 2D branding into an interactive 3D pavilion. When viewed from above, the furniture replicates the radiating starburst profile of the logo, encouraging active discovery and engagement.
04. Prototyping & Materials
Iterative scale models tested folding tolerances and kinetic rotation. The system pairs lightweight, eco-friendly cardboard with rigid MDF to guarantee structural stability and conservation standards.
05. 3D Renders & Demo Day
Developed with CAD technical drawings and Blender visualizations, culminating in a scaled physical prototype with movable display modules presented at the university exhibition.
